SAFY Opens Doors to New Office
Public Ribbon Cutting & Open House January 27th 3 – 6 p.m.

A leading national foster care and behavioral health agency will soon open its doors in Tiffin. Area residents and businesses are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house next week at SAFY’s newest facility located at 2495 West Market Street in Tiffin. The event will be Wednesday, January 27th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Refreshments and tours of the new facility will be available with a brief ceremony at 3:15. Tiffin Chamber of Commerce officials will be on hand.

"We discovered Seneca County was in need of comprehensive behavioral health services including family focused treatment," says Marion Bernard, State Director. "After much discussion and research, we concluded it would be a win-win for SAFY and for area residents to open an office serving that area of Ohio. We look forward to serving the needs of Tiffin youth and families".

While highly skilled staff will recruit qualified foster parents, the emphasis will be placed on inhome counseling services through SAFY’s Positive Transitions program. The service provides intensive crisis intervention within the home in an effort to keep natural families together. It focuses on the whole family dynamic versus particular individuals. SAFY will offer short-term treatment services to area families in an effort to create a happy and healthy home environment.

The office opened its doors in December. The Tiffin office will grow the number of SAFY divisions in Ohio to nine with additional locations in Akron/Canton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus/Groveport, Dayton, Findlay, Lima and Sidney.
